SVP/ Director-Transition & Project Management, Lending Operations- Banking Ops

The role holder will be responsible for leading successful transition of banking operations, processes, or services from current to target states with minimal disruption to business continuity. This role ensures that all transition activities are executed in alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence standards. Own the end-to-end transition strategy, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management.

Essential capabilities

Deliver Seamless Transitions:

• Ensure 100% on-time and within-budget delivery of all assigned transition projects, with minimal operational disruption and zero regulatory breaches.

Stakeholder Management and Alignment:

• Achieve high stakeholder satisfaction by maintaining clear communication, managing expectations, and ensuring transparency throughout the transition lifecycle.

Risk Mitigation:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential transition risks through proactive planning and contingency strategies.

Process Optimization and Post Transition Success:

• Drive process improvements during transitions and Conduct post-transition reviews.

Compliance & Governance:

• Maintain full compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards throughout the transition process.

Experience

• 18+ Years of minimum experience with at least the last 5+ years in transition/ project management within banking or financial services industry.
• Required experience in lending operations.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulatory environment.
• Must have managed large-scale banking operations with niche (complex) work types.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, confluence) preferred.
