Job Purpose/ Summary

Support SMS Process OperationsThe Steel Melting Shop (SMS. - Operations department in a TMT Bar Making Plant is responsible for the production of high-quality billets required for TMT bar rolling. The team plays a vital role in meeting production targets, maintaining process stability, and ensuring timely billet supply to the Rolling Mill for TMT bar production.

Support - SMS - Process - SteelAs a Senior Engineer in the SMS Process department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production planning and control in the steel plant. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of the manufacturing technology and processes involved in the steel plant, particularly in the Rolling Mill and Pipe Plant. You will also be expected to have a strong knowledge of TMT and SMS.

Principal Accountabilities

Oversee the production planning and control in the steel plant, ensuring that production targets are met in a timely and efficient manner.Utilize your knowledge of SMS Engineering, Rolling Mill, and Pipe Plant to optimize the manufacturing process and improve product quality.Use your computer skills to automate processes where possible, reducing manual labor and increasing efficiency.Maintain a process-oriented approach, constantly looking for ways to improve existing processes and implement new ones.Work closely with the plant management team to ensure that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.Use your business and commercial acumen to make decisions that will benefit the company in the long run.Foster a global mindset within the team, encouraging diversity and inclusion.Demonstrate people excellence by leading and motivating your team, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting professional development.Show entrepreneurship by taking initiative and being proactive in identifying and solving problems.Special emphasis should be placed on product management, plant management, process improvement, and process automation. This includes managing the product lifecycle, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the plant, implementing process improvements, and automating processes where possible.
