Support Engineer

As a member of the technical support team at Dharmakit Networks, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of critical network environments for enterprise clients across India. Your responsibilities will include providing hands-on support for troubleshooting and resolving complex network incidents, diagnosing hardware issues on routers, switches, firewalls, and related devices, and using packet capture tools to analyze traffic patterns. You will be expected to manage tickets end-to-end via platforms like ServiceNow or JIRA, execute routine network audits, firmware upgrades, patch management, and preventive maintenance tasks, and document resolutions while creating knowledge-base articles. Additionally, delivering technical training to on-site staff and end users will be an essential part of your role. To excel in this position, you must have a strong grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, and network security fundamentals. Proficiency in packet analysis tools like Wireshark or tcpdump, hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls, and familiarity with incident management platforms and ITIL processes are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer-facing scenarios will also be key to success in this role. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of network monitoring platforms and SNMP, as well as advanced Linux/Unix command-line skills for server diagnostics.
