Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process for the salon business from procurement of beauty products, tools, and consumables to inventory management, logistics, vendor relations, and cost control. The role ensures that all salon branches are adequately stocked with the required materials while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for beauty products, salon tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Establish long-term vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply quality and reliability.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with brand standards and quality parameters.
• Source and onboard new vendors based on price competitiveness, product innovation, and sustainability.

Inventory Management

• Oversee stock levels across all salon locations and the central warehouse.
• Implement inventory control systems (manual or software-based) to track inflow and outflow.
• Prevent stockouts and overstocking through accurate demand forecasting.
• Conduct regular stock audits, reconciliations, and inventory reports.

Logistics & Distribution

• Manage and coordinate the timely distribution of products to all salon outlets.
• Optimize transportation routes and logistics costs.
• Ensure safe and efficient handling, storage, and delivery of products.
• Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams for smooth operations.

Planning & Forecasting

• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams to forecast demand based on seasonal trends, promotions, and new product launches.
• Analyze consumption patterns to create efficient restocking schedules.
• Maintain adequate buffer stock while minimizing holding costs.

Cost Optimization & Reporting

• Control procurement and logistics costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare monthly supply chain performance reports including vendor performance, stock turnover, wastage, and cost savings.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure all materials and consumables meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for supplier certifications and quality checks.
• Adhere to company policies for ethical sourcing and environmental sustainability.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree or (

  Supply Chain Management) or related field

  .
• Minimum

  3–5 years of experience

  in supply chain or procurement, preferably in the

  salon, beauty, or retail industry

  .

Work Location: Alwarpet

Work Schedule: Monday–Saturday
