Supplier Development Specialist

You are invited to apply for the position of Supplier Discovery Officer at a reputed India MNC based in Mumbai, specifically in the Powai area near Kanjur Marg. The ideal candidate should hold a B.tech/B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in areas such as Casting, Forging, and Machining. As a Supplier Discovery Officer, your responsibilities will include: - Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: You will be tasked with building and leading business development and sales teams to ensure supplier excellence, onboarding, development, production, and quality. Your role will involve developing and executing procurement strategies based on market trends, vendor capability, and item type. Additionally, you will conduct market research to onboard new sellers to the designated platform and support clients in material procurement while aligning with internal teams for service delivery and aggregation strategies. Monitoring revenue growth, profitability, and performance will also be part of your responsibilities, involving the implementation of action plans, shortfall analysis, and corrective measures. Strengthening customer and vendor relationships by understanding requirements and delivering effective warehouse-based services will also be a key focus. - Vendor & Quality Management: You will set service standards and TATs for category heads and vendors to enhance productivity. This will involve conducting vendor evaluations, factory audits, due diligence, and regular quality checks. Negotiating pricing and managing the RFQ process will also be crucial aspects of your role. Holding quarterly vendor meetings for issue resolution and relationship building will further contribute to your responsibilities.
