Job Title: Aqua Farm Supervisor

Location: Puttagunta, Arugolanu, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.
Department: Farm Operations
Reports to: Farm Manager

Job Purpose:

To supervise day-to-day aquaculture farm activities, including pond preparation, stocking, feeding, water quality management, and labor supervision, ensuring optimal growth, production, and biosecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Operations & Management
• Supervise pond preparation, water filling, liming, and fertilization as per culture practices.
• Monitor fish/shrimp stocking, survival rates, and growth performance.
• Oversee feeding schedules and ensure proper feed usage to minimize wastage.
• Maintain records of daily farm activities.
• Water Quality & Health Management
• Regularly check pond water parameters (pH, DO, salinity, temperature, ammonia, etc.).
• Coordinate with the laboratory team for water and soil analysis.
• Monitor health of stock and report any disease symptoms promptly.
• Labor & Resource Supervision
• Supervise farm workers, assign tasks, and monitor work completion.
• Train workers in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and biosecurity practices.
• Ensure safe handling of feed, chemicals, and equipment.
• Biosecurity & Compliance
• Implement strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Ensure proper record-keeping for audit and compliance purposes.
• Follow environmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Reporting & Coordination
• Prepare daily/weekly farm activity reports and submit to the Farm Manager.
• Coordinate with the procurement and maintenance teams for feed, seed, and equipment requirements.
• Support farm management in production planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Inter / Any degree.
• 1 –5 years of experience in aquaculture farm operations (shrimp/fish farming preferred).
• Knowledge of water quality management, stocking, and feed management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in farm/rural environments and handle emergency situations.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
