Job Title: Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Academics ( Physics | Chemistry | Biology and English )

Location: Velammal Group of Schools
Experience: Minimum 14 Years age between 35 to 50
Qualification: Master’s Degree (Mandatory)
Reporting To: Academic Director / CEO

Job Overview:

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for ensuring academic excellence across the Velammal Group of Schools by providing curriculum guidance, board exam preparation strategies, faculty training, and academic quality assurance. The role demands a highly experienced educator with deep subject knowledge and proven leadership in CBSE Board standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, review, and implement curriculum and lesson plans aligned with CBSE standards.
• Lead Board Class preparation strategies for Grades X and XII.
• Prepare and moderate question papers and answer keys for internal and board-level assessments.
• Conduct faculty training and workshops on pedagogy, assessment, and classroom delivery.
• Support Academic Coordinators and teachers in implementing best teaching practices.
• Conduct regular classroom observations, provide feedback, and track student performance.
• Assist in developing academic manuals, blueprints, and assessment rubrics.
• Travel to different Velammal campuses for audits, evaluations, and training programs.
• Collaborate with management on academic innovation, quality improvement, and result analysis.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Deep subject expertise in Science / Math / English / Social Science (as applicable).
• Strong understanding and experience of CBSE curriculum and board evaluation patterns.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and evaluate large teaching teams.
• Data-driven approach to academic improvement.
• Willingness to travel frequently across branches.
• should have 4 wheeler

Eligibility:

• Master’s degree in the relevant subject (mandatory).
• Minimum 14 years of teaching experience in reputed CBSE schools.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in board exam coordination or academic leadership.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per year
