Job Description – Principal (Velammal Group of Schools) Position: Principal Experience: Minimum 4 years as a Principal School Strength: Minimum 1,500 students Educational & Professional Background: Must have handled PGT level in Science Stream or Humanities . Prior experience in CBSE schools as both PGT and Principal is mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership: Oversee curriculum implementation as per CBSE guidelines . Ensure high standards of academic excellence and student performance . Guide faculty in teaching methodologies, assessments, and subject delivery . Administrative & Operational Management: Supervise daily school operations, including faculty, staff, and student affairs . Develop and implement policies to enhance discipline and school culture . Manage time-table scheduling, faculty workload, and examination processes . Faculty Development & Training: Conduct faculty evaluations and arrange training sessions for professional growth. Encourage faculty to adopt innovative teaching strategies and technology integration . Student & Parent Engagement: Address student concerns and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment . Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to update on student progress. Regulatory Compliance & School Development: Ensure compliance with CBSE norms and school accreditation standards . Work on infrastructure improvements, extracurricular activities, and community engagement . Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Experience in managing large faculty teams and school operations . Proficiency in academic planning and execution .
