Job Description

As a Strategic Manager, your focus will be on handling Enterprise level Accounts/Strategic Accounts/Key Accounts. You will be responsible for managing relationships with large enterprise customers, driving revenue, and maximizing profits with around 50% travel required. Your key responsibilities will include performing sales activities, establishing and maintaining business relationships with key customer stakeholders to generate new business and meet annual sales quotas. You will be tasked with understanding the competition's value proposition and positioning Ansys software accordingly. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships will be essential. Additionally, you will identify and define solutions where ANSYS offerings can be applied, deliver compelling customer presentations with the support of the account team and technical team, and create a long-term strategy to grow usage by connecting Ansys solutions to customer challenges or priorities. Collaboration with global/regional account teams, product specialists, ACE, remote sites, business partners, and other functions within ANSYS will be crucial to ensure a company-wide approach to the account. You will facilitate regular touchpoint activities, document customer capabilities and metrics for success, develop sales and technical partnerships, and negotiate agreements with customers. Maintaining a healthy pipeline, accurate data entry into CRM, administrative work, and accurate sales forecasting and account planning will also be part of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, an MBA is preferred, along with 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in CAD/CAE/PLM/EDA/ERP Solutions. You should also have 4+ years of experience as a senior/key/named account manager, demonstrated success in technical sales positions, and strong strategic planning skills. Proven executive presentation and persuasion skills, ability to navigate complex sales and customer issues, and strong networking skills are essential.
