Store Manager

Ø Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom Ø Receive, unload, and shelve supplies Ø Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies Ø Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping Ø Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses Ø Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control Ø Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs Ø Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results Ø Maintain store staff by selecting, orienting and training employees Ø Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results Ø Prepare annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions Ø Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements Ø Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories Ø Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures Ø Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment Ø Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements Ø Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Ø Maintain inventory by implementing purchasing plans and staying in contact with vendors and shippers Ø Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent
