Job Description

Material Receipt & Verification Receive incoming materials, check quantity & quality as per purchase order. Verify challans, invoices, and supplier documents. Ensure proper entry of received materials in the system/register. Inventory Management Maintain accurate stock levels and update stock records daily. Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile mismatches. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and segregation of materials. Issuance of Materials Issue raw materials, tools, and consumables to departments as per requisition. Maintain material issue records with proper documentation. Stock Control & Monitoring Track fast-moving and slow-moving items. Inform management when stock reaches reorder level. Prevent material wastage, damage, and pilferage. Documentation & System Work Prepare GRN (Goods Received Note), Stock Register, and Issue Register. Keep all records updated in ERP/software or manual registers. Maintain inward/outward entries accurately. Coordination Coordinate with the purchase department for timely material availability. Communicate with production teams regarding daily material requirements. Handle supplier returns and replacements when required. Housekeeping & Safety Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement in the store area. Ensure materials are stored safely to avoid damage or accidents. Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. Report shortages, excesses, or discrepancies to management immediately. Compliance Follow company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
