Job Description

Position Title: Steel Sculpture Foreman-2 Nos.

We are is seeking an experienced and creative Steel Sculpture Foreman to lead our team in the design, fabrication, and installation of large-scale steel sculptures for public and private commissions. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with expertise in steel fabrication and a passion for artistic craftsmanship. You will create & oversee a team of skilled workers, manage project timelines, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of steel sculptors and fabricators to execute complex sculpture projects.
  • Interpret artistic designs, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly.
  • Collaborate with artists, designers, and clients to ensure sculptures meet aesthetic and structural specifications.
  • Oversee welding, cutting, grinding, and finishing processes to create high-quality steel sculptures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and material inventories to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Train and mentor team members in advanced fabrication techniques and artistic detailing.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure sculptures meet artistic and structural standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers and external contractors for on-site installations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a foreman or lead in steel fabrication, preferably with experience in artistic or sculptural projects.
  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG/TIG), plasma cutting, and metal forming.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and artistic renderings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in art, industrial design, or construction management is a plus.
  • Physically able to work in a demanding environment
  • Passion for art and sculpture, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Assist in preparing materials, including measuring, cutting, and shaping steel. 
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, and presses, safely and efficiently. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure sculptures meet artistic and structural standards. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols. 
  • Assist with the installation of sculptures at client sites, including rigging and lifting. 
  • Report progress and issues to the Foreman and contribute to problem-solving on the job site.
