Job description Job Title: State Head – Service & Operations Location: Ranchi Jharkhand Department: After-Sales Service & Operations Experience Required: Minimum 12 years (mandatory) Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical EngineeringJob Summary: We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Service & Operations vertical at the state level. The ideal candidate should have at least 12 years of hands-on experience in the automobile after-sales service industry, with exposure to managing multiple workshops and the capability to build and lead a team of 100+ mechanics. The role requires strategic planning, team development, and operational excellence to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Lead state-wide after-sales service operations across multiple workshops. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals. Workshop Management: Oversee performance and efficiency of all service centers in the region. Ensure workshops adhere to brand standards, technical protocols, and customer service excellence. Team Building & Management: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of mechanics, service advisors, and support staff. Demonstrate the capability to build and lead a team of 100+ mechanics. Conduct periodic performance reviews and capability assessments. Technical Oversight : Provide guidance on complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution. Drive technical training and upskilling initiatives across service centers. Customer Experience & Quality Assurance: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery. Monitor service quality and implement corrective actions as needed. Cost & Inventory Management : Monitor operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control costs. Coordinate with parts and inventory teams to ensure availability and minimize downtime. Reporting & Compliance : Maintain accurate reports on service KPIs, team performance, and workshop metrics. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and people management skills In-depth knowledge of after-sales service operations and workshop management Proven track record of handling multi-location service operations Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills Ability to drive performance and process improvements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Industry Background : Automotive OEMs Authorized Dealerships/Service Centers Large-scale Multi-brand Vehicle Workshops Show more Show less
