State Head - Legal

As the Legal Head for the assigned region, your role involves taking control of the Legal department to safeguard the Company's legal interests. You will provide necessary legal support in designated areas and ensure compliance with laws for smooth functioning of various departments. Your responsibilities include: - Providing legal support to all verticals in the assigned territory - Supporting NPA and Bad Debts-Write-off team for auto financing business - Managing recoveries of Provisioning cases and coordinating with other departments - Handling Repo and Disposal of assets by legal support while ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations - Developing a robust litigation process for the assigned territory - Protecting assets and employees of the company - Providing legal tools for resolution of NPA and BD contracts - Ensuring execution of legal tools for Fraud Management - Managing Outsource Agency for Legal tools execution and handling Criminal Matters - Establishing a litigation process meeting legal environment requirements - Providing system-based legal tools to the circle team - Reviewing policy implementation, observing variations, and guiding corrective actions - Ensuring legal cases are concluded within defined TAT - Determining TAT for each activity and ensuring compliance - Reviewing case movement, impact of litigation, resolutions, and recovery - Approving engagement of lawyers as per Regional Managers" recommendations - Visiting Regional/Territory/Branch offices, meeting teams, providing guidance and knowledge sharing - Resolving online customer complaints with appropriate solutions - Providing feedback to sales and collection team on portfolio performance, sourcing quality, and market trends - Designing and developing Legal collections system for routine affairs automation Qualifications required for this role: - Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a similar role with team handling experience - Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders - Team management, channel management, and leadership skills - Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills - Proactive approach towards managing ambiguity and executing tasks effectively - Strong verbal and written communication skills for building effective relationships and motivating others - Concise, direct communication and active knowledge-sharing abilities.,
