Staff Backend Developer

Salary range: Rs 3000000 - Rs 5000000 (ie INR 30-50 LPA)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy, backend architecture, and product vision.
• Design, build, and maintain API endpoints using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop systems that ingest and process data from slow, inconsistent, or large-scale external sources.
• Build asynchronous pipelines that analyze outputs, trigger further automated processes, and scale with demand.
• Define and implement the business logic for new products, including data flows, worker tasks, and notifications.
• Structure and manage unary and streamed responses for high-performance backend operations.
• Work closely with frontend teams to ensure smooth integration and timely delivery of features.
• Engage with customers to understand real-world use cases and translate them into backend solutions.
• Provide staff-level technical leadership, guiding design decisions, mentoring engineers, and setting architecture standards.
• Oversee Kubernetes deployments, system scalability, and reliability.
  

What We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Kubernetes, with proven experience in production-grade systems.
• Strong experience designing asynchronous architectures and distributed worker pipelines.
• Skilled in handling unreliable, large-scale external data sources and optimizing ingestion processes.
• Exceptional architectural thinking, capable of mapping complex data flows and backend interactions.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement.
• Ability to make strategic technical decisions and mentor team members through complex engineering challenges.
