Learn more at www.circana.com. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for ETL process management. This includes data modeling, data warehouse architecture, data pipeline development and ETL testing. Working with a variety of data technologies, you will work in a batch processing environment where the emphasis is on processing large volumes of data at scale and speed. Job Responsibilities Design, implement and optimise high performance ETL Systems Work with a variety of data sources, including SQL database and flat files Efficiently manage structured data and meta data Work with querying and reporting tools, application development tools, data mining and OLAP tools Manage the data cleansing and data enrichment process Design data warehouse architectures Design and build data pipelines, including data extraction, staging, formatting and enrichment Test tools, models, and data pipelines Design efficient, fit-for-purpose and detailed data models Create and maintain detailed technical documentation Requirements Tertiary qualification in Technology Previous experience in ETL development (5+ years) Strong experience with Bash and Python scripting in a Linux/Unix environment Strong experience in SQL scripting: PostgreSQL, MonetDB Knowledge and expertise in data model testing, data flow validation and system performance testing Hands-on ETL development experience in Hive/PySpark SCM/CI – SVN/Git & Jenkins preferable Knowledge of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts Strong communications skills (verbal and written) Excellent problem-solving skills Strong initiative Collaborative team player High attention to detail Ability to take on feedback Adept at learning new software systems Desirable Experience with Apache Airflow Circana Behaviors As well as the technical skills, experience and attributes that are required for the role, our shared behaviors sit at the core of our organization.
