Job Purpose To lead and support the development of new wiring harness products from concept to production, ensuring technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities • Product Development o Design and develop wiring harnesses for automotive or industrial applications. o Create 2D and 3D drawings using tools like AutoCAD, CREO, or SolidWorks. o Prepare BOMs, product codes, and technical documentation in ERP systems. • Prototyping & Trials o Conduct proto trials and mock-up installations. o Collaborate with production teams for feasibility checks and sample validation. • Cross-Functional Coordination o Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams. o Support vendor development and raw material calculations for new products. • Compliance & Standards o Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and customer-specific standards. o Apply geometric tolerances and validate assembly drawings. • Process Integration • Integrate new products into manufacturing workflows. • Release final drawings and specifications for production.
