Sr. Node JS Developer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong focus on writing clean, performant code and optimizing the performance of databases. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of our SaaS application.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend systems and APIs with a strong emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps, to understand performance requirements and implement optimal solutions.
• Conduct performance profiling, monitoring, and tuning of our application and data bases to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Optimize data base queries and data models to enhance application responsiveness and reduce response times.
• Implement caching strategies and other performance-enhancing techniques to reduce database load and improve overall system performance.
• Continuously review and refactor existing code to ensure adherence to performance best practices and coding standards.
• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain a smooth user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in backend technologies, performance optimization techniques, and database technologies.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers to improve their code quality and performance optimization skills.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage the backend infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, with a proven track record of writing clean and efficient code.
• Extensive experience optimizing database performance, particularly with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in performance profiling and tuning tools to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Solid understanding of caching mechanisms and other performance optimization techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of ECMAScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs using frameworks like Express.js.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
