Sr. ML Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI Platforms Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects developed by our Data Science teams are production-ready. This position requires a deep understanding of machine learning, data science, and software engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Data Science teams to refine and enhance machine learning models and data science projects at every stage of development.
• Ensure that machine learning models and data science projects are production-ready, scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant.
• Develop and enforce best practices, controls, and governance frameworks for machine learning projects.
• Implement robust monitoring and maintenance strategies for deployed models to ensure continuous performance and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and data scientists.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data science technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
• Proven experience in machine learning, data science, and software engineering.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Working knowledge of various machine learning algorithms, for use cases including but not limited to regression, classification, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS and SageMaker.
• Experience in building and deploying large-scale machine learning projects in production.
• Deep internal understanding of machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Dataiku platform is preferred but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience in deploying Generative AI (GenAI) projects in production is preferred.
