Sr. Manager- Production Planning (Shipbuilding/Marine)

The Manager / Senior Manager – Production Control Group (Planning) will be responsible for leading planning, coordination, and production control functions across block construction and outfitting operations within the shipyard. This role ensures that production activities are planned, tracked, and executed efficiently — meeting project timelines, cost targets, and quality benchmarks. Reporting to the AGM – Control Planning (Production), the position acts as a vital interface between Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management to drive schedule adherence and operational discipline across multiple departments.

Production Planning & Scheduling:

 Develop, review, and maintain detailed production plans and schedules for block construction and outfitting.

 Integrate engineering deliverables, material availability, and manpower plans into the overall production schedule.

 Support short-term and long-term production forecasting, ensuring alignment with project milestones and delivery commitments.

Progress Monitoring & Control:

 Track and report project progress against planned schedules, identifying slippages, risks, and corrective actions.

 Conduct daily and weekly review meetings with production teams to analyze bottlenecks and update recovery plans.

 Generate production dashboards and KPI reports for management review.

Resource & Interface Coordination:

 Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and QA/QC to synchronize workflows and avoid downtime.

 Ensure timely material movement and availability in coordination with stores and logistics.  Support manpower and equipment planning to ensure optimal utilization of resources.

Quality, Safety & Compliance Integration:

 Ensure planning activities incorporate quality, classification, and HSE standards.

 Collaborate with QA/QC and HSE teams to integrate inspection points, safety checks, and quality milestones into project plans.

Reporting & Analysis:  Provide regular performance updates to AGM – Control Planning and Head of Production.  Analyze production data to identify efficiency trends, resource constraints, and areas for process optimization.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
