Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Job Title:

Department:

Process end to end payroll for employees accurately and on time.
Validate attendance, leave records, overtime, and variable pay before payroll run.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Gratuity, etc.).
Handle monthly payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs and approvals.
Generate salary statements, pay slips, and statutory challans.
File returns and prepare reports for PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc. within due timelines.
Manage employee queries related to salary, deductions, and statutory benefits.
Support audits (internal/external) by providing accurate payroll data and reports.
Maintain confidentiality of employee records and payroll information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, HR, Finance, or related field.
1-6 years of experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
Knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, TDS, PT, etc.).
Proficiency in payroll software & MS Office.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
