Overall purpose of job:
This is a critical and visible supply chain role leading Master Data Management Operations for the Asia Pacific Region , which includes 12 markets across Australia & New Zealand, India, North Asia (South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong), and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia). The candidate will also partner with India commercial teams in delivering a best-in-class customer experience and addressing patient needs by driving demand planning, supply network planning, and inventory management .
Strong collaboration with commercial teams, regional & global teams, and other supply chain teams is essential, with the primary objective of providing high levels of customer service, supported by efficient and agile supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Management Operation
Material Master Data Governance Management:
- Implement sIDMa tools and processes; may include coordination of system testing, error handling, data conversion and/or validation, audit/compliance actions
- Prepare metrics, dashboards, and tracking to facilitate the efficient MD operations of the department, including material master data creation, maintenance, and quality of data
- Support change assessments and/or project requirements, primary point of contact for SAP material master governance activities.
Process Improvement Initiatives:
- Facilitate continuous improvement of existing data design, process and templates by tactically focusing on business outcomes.
- Collaborate to create and maintain documentation for area of responsibility. May include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), protocols, data quality catalogs, and other policy and procedure documents.
- Develop and deliver training to educate partners on detailed procedures, data flows, etc.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Participate in, and sometimes lead, operational and governance meetings
- Regularly update the end-user, key-users, and key stakeholder list for master data tasks
- Engage with business partners on tactical matters as Data Governance Lead for a specific workstream or functional area
India Supply Chain Planning
Demand planning, Supply network planning and Inventory Management
- Develop Demand forecasts by analysing historical data and optimizing statistical models in collaboration with the global team.
- Analyze internal and external factors influencing sales to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to reach consensus on demand forecasts, considering various inputs through Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
- Lead the monthly Demand Review (DR) process, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to finalize demand, balance supply and demand, and conduct executive reviews. Engage continually with business teams to identify potential demand fluctuations early, ensuring effective communication with supply planning and related teams.
- SNP: Supply planning from global hubs through end-to-end planning system (OMP). Ensure optimum distribution of inventory across multiple DCs in India.
- Lead the over-labelling operations supply planning for Govt tender business
- Inventory Optimization: Contribute to reducing slow moving inventory through proactive demand management and coordinated liquidation efforts.
- Process Improvement: Implement best practices and drive enhancements in local demand & replenishment planning processes, working closely with local supply chain teams.
- MIS: Publish MIS for India SC KPIs on monthly basis
Qualifications
Education:
- MBA from a reputed business school preferably with a prior engineering degree OR Masters in statistics/business related field.
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) preferred.
Essential knowledge and skills:
- 0-2 Years working experience, at least 1 year in supply chain or MDM role
- Experience with ERP (SAP)
- Ability to build strong collaborative and relationships with cross function
- Highly agile and responsive to business needs
- Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
- Ability to influence higher level within the organization and in a matrix environment.
- Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with New product launch, IBP, change control management is desirable
- Understanding and systems knowledge of OMP, TruVault or equivalent Documentation system, and/or Comet
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
