Job Description

Sr. Executive - R&D

  • CTC Range: 3-5.5 LPA
  • Reporting to: Scientist
  • Industry Type: Food products Manufacturing
  • Requirements: Essential Requirement is Microbiology Background, culture isolation & Handling of Submerged fermentation

  • Job Scope: Bacterial Culture, Knowledge of submerged Fermenters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Screening and Selection of potential probiotic bacteria, Identification of microorganism, Culture media optimization, Process optimization Submerged fermentation (SmF) and running upstream and downstream, Operating centrifuges and Freeze dryers.
  • Experience: Min 2-4 Years Research experience in microbiology R&D/production.

  • Education: M.Sc. in Microbiology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/M. Tech. Bioprocess Engineering
  • Preferred Skill Sets: Bacterial Culture isolation, CFU, biochemical characteristics of bacteria , Submerged fermentation.
  • Mandatory Skill sets : Previous research experience in bacterial Culture isolation, Media optimization,

    Submerged fermentation.

2. Manager - R&D

Job Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and optimization of

    bakery and cake premixes, fruit and non-fruit pastes, fillings, and jellies

    tailored for the Indian and international markets.
  • Design, test, and validate new product formulations to ensure desired taste, texture, shelf life, and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with procurement and quality teams to develop

    specifications for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products

    .
  • Manage trials at the lab, pilot, and plant scale, ensuring smooth technology transfer to production.
  • Address variability in raw materials by developing

    robust formulations and processing methods

    .

  • Drive

    innovation pipeline

    in line with market trends and customer requirements, with a focus on clean label and functional solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer application teams to provide

    technical support and customized solutions

    .
  • Ensure adherence to

    food safety, regulatory, and quality standards

    during development and scale-up.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous innovation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or Food Technology from reputed institutes (e.g., UDCT, NIFTEM, HBTI, NDRI, IIT).
  • Experience:

    8-10 years of proven R&D experience in leading food and bakery ingredient companies
  • Strong knowledge of

    ingredient functionalities, bakery processing, and application technologies

    .
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
