About the Role

Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Key Responsibilities

  • Migration Lead:

    Serve as the functional and technical BSA lead for the migration of Broadcom Mainframe tools (e.g., CA-7, CA Endevor, CA-Librarian, etc.) to equivalent IBM or BMC solutions (e.g., IBM TWS, IBM RDz, BMC Control-M, etc.).
  • Requirements Gathering:

    Conduct in-depth analysis and requirements gathering by collaborating with Mainframe Systems Programmers, Developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Documentation:

    Create clear, comprehensive, and detailed technical documentation, including

    As-Is

    and

    To-Be

    process flows, Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and data mapping specifications.
  • Data Analysis:

    Perform sophisticated data analysis on the mainframe to understand system dependencies, impact of tool changes, and ensure data integrity throughout the migration.
  • Stakeholder Bridge:

    Act as the primary liaison between the business teams and the technical development/migration teams, translating complex technical challenges into clear business implications and vice versa.
  • Testing & Validation:

    Support the Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) teams to ensure all migrated tool functionalities meet defined requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications (Mandatory)

  • Tool Migration Experience:

    Strong, verifiable experience

    with Mainframe tool migration, specifically from

    Broadcom (CA)

    products to

    IBM

    or

    BMC

    tool suites.
  • Mainframe Fluency:

    Hands-on experience working with the Mainframe environment (z/OS) and core utilities:

    TSO/ISPF, JCL, VSAM.

  • Technical BSA Skills:

    Proven expertise in

    requirements elicitation, process modeling (BPMN/UML),

    and generating high-quality

    functional and non-functional requirements

    .
  • Data Analysis:

    Proficiency in

    SQL

    (especially with

    DB2

    ) for querying, analyzing, and validating large mainframe datasets.
  • Communication:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences (VP level and engineers).

Desired Skills (Good to Have)

  • Familiarity with specific Broadcom tools such as

    CA-7, CA Endevor, CA-ACF2,

    or

    CA-Datacom

    .
  • Familiarity with specific IBM/BMC target tools such as

    IBM TWS, IBM RDz, BMC Control-M,

    or

    BMC MainView

    .
  • Prior experience in the

    Banking/Financial Services

    domain.
  • Knowledge of

    Agile/Scrum

    methodologies.
