Job Description

The leader in this role will be responsible for leading a team of environment professionals. This individual must create and execute leadership development plans for their team members, communicate team expectations, provide frequent and appropriate feedback, and ensure they are executing to the core competencies of an Amazon environment professional.
A key responsibility of this role is to identify relevant use cases and best practices from global businesses that can be adapted to inform Amazons environmental strategies and compliance approaches within the Indian context. Ensuring environmental compliance is critical, as it involves preventing business disruptions and proactively mitigating risks. This requires designing processes that ensure accountability, and establishing monitoring mechanisms. Another key aspect is to develop scalable compliance frameworks, as well as setting up the appropriate standard operating procedures for effective execution. Bachelors degree in Science or a related field Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in safety and/or environmental programs within manufacturing, production, service operations, or other relevant settings applicable to the role Minimum 10 years of experience in people management and performance leadership Experience managing Environmental Solutions and Sustainability Understanding of Indian Environmental Laws (Air Act, Water Act, and Hazardous Waste Management regulations ) Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization Bachelor s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field required. Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization. Environment/ Sustainability Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
