Main Purpose:

Sr Engineer Workover will be responsible for managing all aspects of workover jobs, ensuring compliance with company and statutory safety standards, supervising rig activities, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Job Accountabilities :

• Lead and manage workover rig installation and execution at site in alignment with defined workover plans and safety standards.
• Coordinate closely with base operations, drilling, production, and HSE teams to meet KPI targets for safety, production, and rig performance.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and RIL (Reliance Industries Limited) safety standards.
• Actively participate in Hazard Identification, Risk assessment and SOP preparation or each of work-over activity.
• Conduct regular rig inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
• Serve as the Onsite Incident Commander during emergencies such as blowouts or fire.
• Supervise well control operations, especially in flowing well conditions during interventions
• Supervise various work-over activities e.g. rig movement, rig up, rig down, fishing , pull out/RIH completion string with BHA, scrapper trips, set/unset mechanical & hydraulic packer at site.
• Supervise well stimulation jobs: sand/air cleaning, acidizing, chemical injections, high-rate flushing.
• Supervise installation of various type of artificial lift system e.g. progressive cavity pump. Sucker rod pump, electrical submersible pump, drive heads with motor and down hole gauges.
• Maintain and submit accurate Daily Progress Reports (DPR) in Open Well Software.
• Prepare detailed End of Well Reports (EOWR) including material usage, tool tallies, and completion summaries.
• Provide data-driven inputs for optimizing time and cost efficiencies across workover operations.
• Monitor and reduce rig non-productive time (NPT) within KPI limits.
• Manage and track onsite inventory of workover tools, equipment, and materials.

Qualification:

B.E / B.Tech degree

Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry
