Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Composite Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in FRP, GRP, and advanced composite manufacturing. This position is responsible for overseeing the production of naval-grade composite doors, hatches, and marine components at the Halol facility, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and productivity. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor production of composite doors, hatches, structures and assemblies. 
  • Operate and optimize processes including hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, RTM, moulding, curing, and trimming. 
  • Ensure precise fiber orientation, resin ratios, curing cycles, lamination schedules, and mould preparation. 
  • Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, lamination schedules, and QAPs to support manufacturing and new part development. 
  • Suggest improvements in material selection, process parameters, and production cycle times. 
  • Conduct in-process inspections—thickness, weight, bonding, and surface quality—adhering to aerospace and defence standards (CEMILAC/IRS/ DNV/ MIL) will be an added advantage 
  • Document quality checks, test reports, and maintain accurate production records. 
  • Coordinate with production supervisors, tooling technicians, and QC teams to ensure material, consumables, and tool availability. 
  • Track production targets, reject levels, productivity metrics, and improve shopfloor discipline. 
  • Promote EHS compliance, PPE usage, resin handling safety, and train technicians on safe composite handling techniques. 


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Polymer, Composite, or related engineering discipline. 
  • 3–4 years of direct experience in composite product manufacturing (marine, automotive, aerospace, or industrial composites). 
  • Sound knowledge of fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxies/polyester resins, vacuum systems, mould fabrication, and curing. 
  • Skill in composite part inspection and interpretation of engineering and manufacturing documentation. 
  • Strong problem-solving and coordination skills. 


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with marine/naval-grade composite components and defence sector documentation. 
  • Proficiency with adhesives, bonding techniques, and hardware integration.
