Sr. Engineer/ Assistant Manager- Production

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager – Production to oversee and manage production operations at our water pump manufacturing facility in Changodar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth production flow, maintaining quality standards, optimizing productivity, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet daily and monthly production targets.

Key Responsibilities:Production Planning & Execution:

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales and inventory requirements.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Monitor production lines to ensure timely and efficient output of water pumps and components.

Process Optimization:

• Analyze production processes and identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other productivity tools to improve workflow.
• Ensure minimal machine downtime through effective planning and coordination with the maintenance team.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that products are manufactured as per BIS/ISO standards and quality norms.
• Collaborate with the QC team to minimize rework, rejection, and customer complaints.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Team & Shift Management:

• Supervise and guide shop floor supervisors, operators, and contract labor across multiple shifts.
• Provide training to workers on SOPs, safety protocols, and production techniques.

Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with design, purchase, stores, and dispatch teams to ensure seamless production operations.
• Prepare and maintain daily production reports, downtime logs, and performance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in pump manufacturing or rotating equipment industries
• Good knowledge of assembly processes, machining, testing, and balancing of water pumps
• Experience in casting, fabrication, and motor integration is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
