Sr. Business Analyst-Capital Markets

The ideal candidate will play a role in the development of multiple parts of the business by analyzing past, current, and future business trends. This individual will establish strategies to achieve desired outcomes and implement these strategies. They will often work cross-functionally with internal business units in order to understand the challenges that these teams are face and provide solutions to these groups.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, Analyse, and document business requirements for Capital Markets projects.

• Analyse existing business processes, identify pain points, and propose solutions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are met.

• Assist in solution design and project management.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations.

• Ensure compliance with regulations like MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and EMIR.

• Provide insights through data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets.

• Strong understanding of financial instruments and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Advanced Excel).

• Knowledge of business process modelling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML) and requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

• Experience in a client-facing role in the financial services industry.

• Experience in a consulting or investment banking environment.

• Knowledge of capital market products (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives).

Preferred:

• Certification in Business Analysis

• Experience with specific regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FCA, MAS)
