Sr Associate Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure components such as Virtual Machines, networking (VNets, subnets, load balancers), and storage, following best practices.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) efforts using Terraform or similar tools for routine provisioning tasks.
• Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or Jenkins for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Write and maintain scripts (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) to automate routine system administration tasks.
• Participate in the deployment and management of containers using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance using tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics and respond to alerts or incidents as needed.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex issues.
• Support security and compliance efforts by following established guidelines and processes.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for team use.
• Stay current with evolving Azure and infrastructure technologies and participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with Azure.
  

Required Skills

• Solid hands-on experience working with Azure cloud services (VMs, networking, storage).
• Proficient in basic Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Experience writing scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience working with Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar).
• Knowledge of security fundamentals (RBAC, certificates, basic compliance).
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  

• Relevant Azure certification (e.g., Azure Administrator (AZ-104)).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with on-premises to cloud migration projects.
• Exposure to additional monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Basic understanding of Windows Server administration.
