Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Spotfire Specialist / Administrator

to oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of our Spotfire BI environments. The role involves managing system performance, user access, and data security while enabling business teams to leverage analytics effectively. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and scalable BI infrastructure supporting enterprise-level data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Spotfire Server, including setup, configuration, upgrades, and license management.
  • Manage library structures, user/group access, and data source connectivity across environments.
  • Integrate Spotfire with data platforms such as SQL Server, Snowflake, AWS, and REST APIs.
  • Configure and manage Automation Services, scheduled reports, and data refresh mechanisms.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards within the BI ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and IT teams to implement BI enhancements.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation on Spotfire best practices.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend optimization strategies.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Spotfire administration and development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with Spotfire Automation Services, Web Player configuration, and library management.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Spotfire with AWS/Azure and on-premises data platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage BI environments in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for BI platforms.
  • Exposure to other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and metadata management.
  • Experience with Scripting in IronPython or R/Terr for advanced analytics within Spotfire.
