💼 Job Description – Sponsorship Manager

We are looking for a Sponsorship Manager to oversee and drive the entire sponsorship vertical for the SkillAura Hackathon. This role involves creating the sponsorship strategy, managing outreach and negotiations, supervising the sponsorship team, and ensuring all commitments are delivered. The Sponsorship Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s financial success and brand partnerships align with our mission.

This is a freelance/volunteer/contract-based position with a performance-linked reward and full independence in planning, team building, and execution.

Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and persuasive negotiation.

Prior experience in sponsorship, partnerships, or business development (preferred).

Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

Performance-based reward of up to 2% of the event’s net profit.

No fixed salary/stipend.

Rewards allocated post-event based on sponsorship performance.

📝 Key Responsibilities

📊 Strategy & Planning

Develop the overall sponsorship strategy, including timelines, targets, and segmentation (monetary, in-kind, NGOs, etc.).

Identify and prioritize potential sponsors based on event objectives and brand alignment.

Set goals and assign responsibilities to the sponsorship team.

🔗 Outreach & Negotiations

Oversee the creation of tailored sponsorship proposals and pitch decks.

Supervise outreach through email, LinkedIn, and direct channels.

Lead high-value negotiations and close key sponsorship deals.

🤝 Relationship Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors and partners.

Ensure sponsor needs are addressed promptly and professionally.

Coordinate signing of MoUs and sponsorship agreements.

📋 Sponsorship Fulfilment & Brand Integration

Ensure all sponsor benefits (branding, stalls, promotional opportunities) are delivered.

Work with design, marketing, and operations teams for smooth sponsor integration.

Monitor sponsor visibility before, during, and after the event.

🧑‍💼 Team Leadership & Supervision

Recruit, train, and mentor the sponsorship team.

Track individual and team performance, providing feedback and guidance.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.

📈 Reporting & Accountability

Maintain a sponsorship tracker for leads, conversions, and deliverables.

Submit weekly updates to SkillAura founders (Jatin & Siya).

Deliver a final sponsorship performance report, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
