Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing & Purchasing:
o Identify and source electronic components from suppliers globally.
o Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
o Manage the procurement of electronic components, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
o Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Market Analysis:
o Stay up-to-date with the latest market trends, component pricing, and supply chain disruptions.
o Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
o Monitor industry developments, new technologies, and components to ensure a competitive sourcing strategy.
  • Supplier Management:
o Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, lead time, pricing, and customer service.
o Develop and manage long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and supply chain stability.
o Resolve any supply chain or quality issues that may arise with suppliers.
  • Inventory and Demand Planning:
o Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand component requirements and ensure inventory levels meet production schedules.
o Assist in forecasting demand for electronic components and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
  • Cost Management:
o Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality.
o Monitor price fluctuations and recommend actions to mitigate cost impacts.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of all sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
o Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.
