As a Sourcing & Purchasing Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of electronic components from suppliers globally. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying and sourcing electronic components, negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers. - Managing the procurement process to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness. - Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and vendors. In addition to sourcing and purchasing, you will also be responsible for: - Staying up-to-date with market trends, component pricing, and supply chain disruptions. - Evaluating and selecting suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities. - Monitoring industry developments, new technologies, and components to ensure a competitive sourcing strategy. Supplier management will be a key aspect of your role, involving: - Evaluating supplier performance based on quality, lead time, pricing, and customer service. - Developing and managing long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and supply chain stability. - Resolving any supply chain or quality issues that may arise with suppliers. You will also be involved in inventory and demand planning, working closely with production and engineering teams to: - Understand component requirements and ensure inventory levels meet production schedules. - Assist in forecasting demand for electronic components and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays. Cost management will be another critical aspect of your role, including: - Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality. - Monitoring price fluctuations and recommending actions to mitigate cost impacts.
