We are seeking a skilled and experienced South Indian Chef who specializes in traditional and modern South Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of authentic regional flavors, cooking techniques, and presentation styles from states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a wide variety of South Indian dishes including dosa, idli, sambar, rasam, biryani, vada, curries, chutneys, and more. Develop and maintain recipes that preserve authenticity while meeting the needs of modern diners. Ensure food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation standards are consistently met. Manage kitchen operations related to South Indian food production. Monitor inventory and requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on South Indian food preparation. Work collaboratively with the overall kitchen team to design menus and execute catering orders. Stay updated with new trends and customer preferences in South Indian cuisine. Required Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or Cook (3–5 years preferred). In-depth knowledge of South Indian culinary traditions, spices, and ingredients. Ability to prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards. Culinary degree or certification (preferred but not mandatory). Team player with strong communication skills.
