Job Description

Sedna Horeca is looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef specialising in Continental and Chinese cuisine to support kitchen operations across our hospitality formats. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure consistent food quality, smooth kitchen functioning, and adherence to Sedna Horecas culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, menu execution, and service planning.
Prepare, cook, and present Continental and Chinese dishes with a strong focus on taste, consistency, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
Supervise and guide kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen assistants.
Manage inventory, portion control, and minimize food wastage.
Support menu innovation, recipe standardisation, and cost optimisation initiatives.
Step in as acting-in-charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in Continental and Chinese cuisine.
Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
