Manager QA/QC - (Frozen Foods)

Role Overview

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across Sedna Horecas food production operations. The role requires hands-on experience with FSSAI standards, audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance, along with strong leadership in driving quality systems and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and monitor food safety and quality assurance systems in line with FSSAI, ISO, and other relevant standards.
• Lead and prepare the organization for FSSAI audits, internal audits, and customer audits.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance in all food production processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, HACCP plans, and GMP guidelines for production and packaging units.
• Conduct quality checks, inspections, and risk assessments at various stages of production.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent product quality.
• Train and build awareness among employees on food safety, hygiene, and compliance practices.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors, and certification agencies.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the food production industry.
• Strong experience with FSSAI standards, compliance, and audits (mandatory).
• Hands-on knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and related food safety systems.
• Excellent understanding of food laws, regulatory frameworks, and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
