Sourcing Specialist

Role Overview: As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will provide sourcing value by executing category management strategies for various spend categories within the Canadian business, Corporate, and IT sectors. Your responsibilities will include identifying and managing relationships with key internal stakeholders, leading the strategic sourcing process, meeting savings targets, focusing on continuous improvement, researching new supply sources, and monitoring subcontract aspects to ensure best value. Key Responsibilities: - Support and manage the sourcing process, leading project teams through design, development, negotiations, and execution. - Assess, define, and resolve procurement issues, including contractual terms, conditions, and escalations. - Apply risk management and project management expertise in executing sourcing strategies. - Drive compliance for best-in-class procurement practices and ensure adherence to governance processes and policies. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders and align with legal counsel and governance stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of sourcing/procurement experience. - Proven expertise in leading sourcing initiatives, processes, and developing strategies. - Ability to work with internal stakeholders and handle ambiguity effectively. - Familiarity with vendor contract language, purchasing systems, and eProcurement systems. - Understanding of general procurement challenges and solutions. - Strong client relationship management skills, financial analysis skills, and excellent communication abilities. - Experience in creating project plans, managing effectively, and making decisions based on analysis and judgment. - Assets include familiarity with eSourcing systems, third party risk for Financial Service Institutions, and procurement certification.
