Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement

This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain activities while ensuring timely procurement, tracking, and delivery of materials to support our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a good understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams Manages the buying process for a given set of goods.

Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Place and follow-up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update ERP.
• Broadening knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in own discipline to execute functional policy/strategy; still developing functional knowledge and skills.
• Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.
• . Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics
• Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to coordinate material flow and reduce lead times
• Generate reports on supply chain performance, delivery schedules, and material status updates.Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement
• Drive the control of inventory of Raw Materials and GIT/SIT as per inventory entitlement as well as ensure control over slow moving/Obsolescence as per inventory policy

Required Skills Desired Characteristics

• Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or Diploma Engg from an accredited university or college.Proven experience of 10+ years in supply chain management, procurement, or expediting roles, with a track record of successfully managing end-to-end supply chain processes and vendor relationshipsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle), and supply chain management software.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Should have knowledge of Materials Import customs clearance
