Solace Engineer

As a Solace Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence by harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings and ensure unparalleled customer experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfill business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. - Monitoring IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages. - Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Implementation of secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and security threats. - Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities. **Qualification Required:** - Degree in information systems, computer science, or any equivalent field. - Application troubleshooting/debugging capability and analytical skills. - Basic operating systems Unix/Linux or Windows knowledge. - Basic scripting experience. - Basic experience working with relational databases. - Basic knowledge of DevOps, Agile Change lifecycle, and ITIL. - Strong communication skills. This role will be based out of Pune. If the position has leadership responsibilities, you will be expected to advise, influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
