To be successful as a Solace Engineer, you should have experience with: Basic/ Essential Qualifications: - Degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent - Application troubleshooting/debugging capability and analytical skills - Basic knowledge of operating systems such as Unix/Linux or Windows - Basic scripting experience - Basic experience working with relational databases - Basic knowledge of DevOps and understanding of various stages of Agile Change life cycle - Basic ITIL knowledge - Strong communication skills Desirable Skillsets/Good to Have: - Middleware administration and support experience in a global 24x7 support environment - Exposure to middleware technologies like Tibco RV and Solace is desirable - Understanding of IB Front office technology (trade lifecycle) would be an advantage - Knowledge of any service management/ticketing tool and workflow - Familiarity with scheduling tools like Autosys or similar platforms This role will be based out of Pune. Purpose of the role: The purpose of the role is to build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems. This involves using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required to ensure that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. The aim is to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. Accountabilities: - Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements. - Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to address and resolve potential issues or outages. - Automation: Implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency. - Security: Implement measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks and security threats. - Teamwork: Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Learning: Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth. As an Assistant Vice President, you are expected to advise, influence decision-making, and collaborate closely with other functions/business divisions. Lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, and ensure operational effectiveness. Demonstrate clear leadership behaviours and create an environment for colleagues to thrive.
