Software Sales

Role & responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within Central and State Government sectors.

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers.

• Develop a thorough understanding of the client's needs and offer software solutions tailored to their requirements.

• Drive the sales process from lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiations, to deal closure.

• Meet and exceed sales targets by leveraging existing relationships and generating new business.

• Coordinate with technical and delivery teams to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions.

• Stay updated on government procurement processes, including e-tenders, GEM (Government e-Marketplace) and other procurement platforms.

• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to management.

• 4-6 years of experience in software sales with a strong track record of selling to government clients (both State and Central).

• Deep understanding of the procurement processes in the government sector, including e-tenders and GEM.

• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and work with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field is preferred.
