About the Role

At CheckMinistry, we believe that quality is non-negotiable. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Quality Engineer who brings a balanced skillset of manual and automation testing. You'll play a key role in ensuring our web applications are robust, reliable, and deliver a seamless user experience. As part of our cross-functional team, you’ll be involved in the complete testing lifecycle, from planning and scripting to execution and release validation.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment: fast-moving, hands-on, and always evolving.

What you’ll be doing?

• Test web applications using both manual and automation methods.
• Write and execute test cases for different features and user journeys.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium or Cypress.
• Perform cross-browser and responsive testing to ensure consistent look and functionality.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of complete user flows for smooth performance.
• Identify, report, and track bugs using Jira or similar tools.
• Verify functionality for different user roles and permission levels.
• Conduct quick sanity/smoke tests after every release to validate key features.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams in Agile/Scrum sprints.
• Maintain clear documentation of test cases, results, and bug reports.

What we’re looking for?

• 3 - 5 years of experience in QA (manual + automation).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar test automation tools.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, UI/UX principles, and responsive design.
• Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, etc.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
