Role Overview

Software Product Owner & Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Product Ownership:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog.
• Create clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
• Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that the product meets their needs.
• Project Management:
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate across teams to ensure project deliverables are on track.
• Identify risks and devise mitigation strategies to overcome constraints.
• Drive projects to successful completion within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Problem Solving & Leadership:
• Proactively identify roadblocks and implement solutions in challenging situations.
• Effectively navigate around organizational or project constraints to achieve objectives.
• Foster collaboration and maintain clear communication across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate leadership in driving projects and products towards success.
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role in a software services environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage tough situations with composure and effectiveness.
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure Devops, JIRA).
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and drive alignment across teams.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical acumen to collaborate with development teams effectively.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing projects with distributed or remote teams.
• Familiarity with tools like Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Certifications like Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
