Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Define project objectives, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality, certified, software solutions.
• Drive agile practices, oversee sprint planning, and monitor progress against milestones whilst meeting stringent aviation standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally (firmware, hardware, QA, product) to align on architecture and roadmap.

Technical Oversight

• Provide strategic technical direction on software design, architecture, and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with development procedures, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks.
• Oversee integration of software with avionics systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and achieve regulatory compliance.

• Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum

  7 years of experience

  in software engineering, including at least

  3 years in a leadership or managerial role leading the development of avionics software

  .
• Strong background in

  avionics embedded systems

  (essential).
• Proven expertise in

  modern software development practices, agile methodologies, and project management tools

  .
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
• Ability to balance

  technical depth with managerial responsibilities

  .

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in

  embedded firmware development

  , particularly on

  STM32

  and

  ESP32

  platforms.
• Solid understanding of

  avionics software development processes

  and certification processes (e.g.,

  DO-178C

  ).
• Strong proficiency in

  C programming

  with a track record in embedded systems, ideally in an

  avionics

  environment.
• Knowledge of

  unit testing

  ,

  integration testing

  , and

  regression testing

  frameworks and methodologies for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with

  coding standards

  (e.g., MISRA C or similar) and enforcing best practices across the team.
• Working level understanding of

  BLE

  ,

  Wi-Fi

  , Ethernet and related connectivity stacks.
• Basic knowledge of

  Android and iOS app development

  workflows to collaborate effectively with mobile teams.
