Job Description: Mainframe Developer Exp: 3 -7yrs Notice Period: Immediate to 30days Location: Trivandrum, Kochi Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and migration of mainframe applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and quality delivery. This role also includes mentoring junior team members and collaborating across teams to drive project success. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM Lead and support mainframe migration projects , ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in existing mainframe applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and timely delivery Mentor junior developers and share best practices to strengthen team skills and performance Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, system changes, and solutions to support compliance and knowledge sharing Requirements: Proven hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM Strong understanding and prior involvement in mainframe migration projects Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to code quality and performance Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and experience in Agile development environments Flexibility and ability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving project requirements Experience in mentoring and guiding team members Technical Skills: Languages & Tools: COBOL, JCL Databases: DB2 File Systems: VSAM Development & Deployment: Mainframe application development, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and migration Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum (preferred) Core Skills: Mainframe Development COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM System Troubleshooting Migration Project Support Team Mentoring Agile (Preferred) Show more Show less
