Job Description

Job Role: PostgreSQL DBA

Experience: 3–4 Years

Location: Wagholi, Pune (5 Days WFO, Later Hybrid)

Contract: 6+ Months

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL versions 11–17
Installation, configuration, and tuning of standalone & master–slave setups
High Availability & Disaster Recovery (Active/Standby) using repmgr
Physical & Logical Replication, version upgrades, and patching
Experience with PostGIS, database design, and database migration
Performance tuning, query profiling, slow query optimization, indexing & partitioning
Development and maintenance of Stored Procedures, Functions & Triggers
Backup, Restore & PITR using pgBackRest / Barman
Monitoring & health checks using PMM, AppDynamics, pgBadger, PoWA
User, role & access management; basic Shell/Perl/Python scripting

Preferred Skills:

Experience with MySQL
Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
