Software Engineer – Healthcare SaaS

Seeking an experienced Software Engineer to build and maintain scalable, cloud-native healthcare SaaS applications. This role is hands-on, focused on developing secure, high-performance services within distributed systems. The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack engineering skills, deep backend expertise, and an understanding of modern cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable code for production SaaS applications using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and operate scalable microservices, APIs, and distributed system components.
• Implement integrations with healthcare systems (EMR/EHR, medical imaging, healthcare data standards).
• Work closely with Software Architects and senior engineers to execute technical designs and architectural plans.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues to support reliability and performance goals.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and related services).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security best practices, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience with web applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript using modern frameworks.
• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
• Solid understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing.
• Experience with message queues or event-driven architectures (preferred).
• Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, or DICOM (preferred).
• Experience with authentication technologies (OAuth, SSO, LDAP) (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
