In this role, you will be responsible for developing full-stack features, designing cloud infrastructure, and integrating medical data protocols within a regulated and security-focused environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the delivery of software that upholds the highest standards of privacy, compliance, and quality. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the Cloud Engineering team to design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based systems, developing and maintaining EMR and Ultrasound DICOM interfaces, implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO), designing and building a workflow engine to support automation within applications, and developing full-stack features across backend and frontend layers. You will also participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Python and Django, as well as frontend experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, is required. Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, a strong background in RESTful APIs and SQL databases, proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes, and experience integrating with healthcare systems using DICOM, HL7, FHIR, LDAP, and SSO/OAuth are also necessary. Desirable skills include familiarity with IEC 62304 and regulated medical device development, understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, and cybersecurity standards, experience with unit, code-level, and system-level testing, and knowledge of design control processes for medical products. In addition to technical skills, excellent communication skills, a self-starter attitude comfortable working in fast-paced, agile teams, and availability for partial overlap with US Pacific Time (PST) are also essential.
