Primary Responsibilities Frontend Development (Angular): Design and develop dynamic, interactive user interfaces using Angular, a TypeScript-based framework for building single-page applications Implement data binding, component-based architecture, and state management strategies Develop reusable components, manage component communication patterns (e.g., @Input, @Output), and configure routing modules Utilize Angular's HTTP Client module to perform asynchronous HTTP requests, handle API responses, and manage data streams using RxJS operators Backend Development (Django): Build RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework to enable seamless communication between frontend and backend systems Design efficient database schemas, integrate with PostgreSQL, and utilize Django ORM for data manipulation and querying Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including token-based authentication, to ensure secure access control Perform CRUD operations to facilitate seamless data management and develop custom middleware for request-response processing Deploy Django applications to production servers using Azure Pipelines and other CI/CD tools API Development & Testing: Develop and test APIs to ensure functionality, performance, and security Use Postman to create and send HTTP requests, test API endpoints, and debug issues Implement various authentication methods such as API keys and OAuth protocols Collaboration and Code Quality: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA testers, to deliver high-quality software solutions Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure software reliability and performance Document technical processes, systems, and workflows to maintain transparency and knowledge sharing Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of work experience in software development. Proven experience in software development, with a focus on Angular, Django, and API development/testing. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Django ORM for data manipulation and querying Experience in API testing tools like Postman and knowledge of authentication methods (e.g., API keys, OAuth) Solid proficiency in Angular, including component-based architecture, data binding, state management, and RxJS operators Solid understanding of Django frameworks, including RESTful API development, database schema design, and middleware processing Familiarity with Azure Pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for production deployment Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment Solid communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with stakeholders Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience with other frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Knowledge of DevOps principles and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
